Ash Wednesday Mass…
The pupils behaved so well and greatly enjoyed the Ash Wednesday Mass led by Father Jay. Beautiful singing from the children and amazing respect shown at all times.
Gold award winners…
Our Gold award winners were chosen this week for a variety of reasons including improving times able knowledge, using complex punctuation, showing compassion and showing confidence. We are very proud of all the children and their hard work through the week.
Safety poster competition…
Today we held a celebration for all the winners of the safety poster competition. The winning design is now up at Penny Pie Park to help keep the community safe and warn of potential dangers.
Our Positive Post-box letters have been collected today…
…and are on their way to our partner school. We are so excited for other children to read them and even more excited to receive letters back!

Christingle…
Today, the whole school attended a service at St Paul's church as we celebrated Christingle. The children were incredibly well behaved and took time to reflect with their candles lit around the church. A truly special day that I’m sure all children will remember....
Advent Mass
Today, we held our Advent Mass in school with Father Jay. We had wonderful readings from our Year Six pupils and shared prayers together at this special time.

The children came together to raise funds for a wonderful cause. We looked at the organisations that will benefit from the money we have raised too.

We have been inspired by Kandinsky and his Artwork this week.
We learnt how he listened to classical music to help paint his feelings. We experimented with different shapes and colours blending and mixing them together to create our own pieces. They are now proudly displayed in our class library!
Rules…
Our Reception class have been looking at rules linked to the book ‘My Adventure Island’. They discussed why rules are important and what rules they would make if they they had the power to make the rules.

Miss Gulliver hosted a early reading workshop today to share our approach to early reading in school. It was wonderful to have over 25 families from our Foundation Stage cohort in attendance.
