PSHE Curriculum Road Map Reading

Our hope is that our PSHE curriculum will enable children to gain the fundamental principles of being happy, becoming successful and productive members of society both academic and personal, to be able take care of themselves, to have resilience and to ask for help when needed. We want our children to leave St Mary’s Primary School prepared for the wider world, having key skills that will assist them in their lives.

Our PSHE curriculum has been planned to meet the needs of all individuals and to mirror the needs of our school community, taking into account views from staff, pupils and parents which has enabled a broad and balanced curriculum to be established. A key part of our curriculum is that it is flexible and it will address topics/issues that arise anytime during the year.
