Easter/ Lent Mass
Today, we held our Easter/ Lent Mass in school with Father Miguel. We were led in prayer by Year Six and led in hymn by Mr Spencer.
Gold Award winners
This week’s Gold Award winners have been chosen for a whole manner of different reasons. Compassion to others, working hard in class to meet personal challenges and showing excellent outcomes in end of unit assessments. Well done to everyone involved.
Easter Bonnet competition
Today, was our Easter Bonnet competition and we had the best time. So many entries across school from every class. Mrs Armitage and Mrs kitchen enjoyed judging the entries. Here are a few of the winners chosen.
Reading Buddies…
One of the strategies we use to develop a love of reading as well as building strong peer relationships is 'Reading Buddies'. Pupils read with their buddies today and listened to stories from adults and other pupils in school- reading really is the key! [gallery...
We really got into the sprit of World Book Day today
…as the pupils embraced all things reading. Children dressed up as their favourite characters and shared their favourite books through the day. A day to remember for everyone.

St Mary’s School Song…
Practising the St Mary’s School Song with Mr Spencer almost 60 years after it was written to mark the opening of the current school building in 1964. We can’t wait to celebrate our 60th birthday in October later this year!
Georgia O’Keeffe. ..
We’ve used watercolours in Reception to create our background and then pastels for our sunflowers inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe.

Today, we took part in an in Ash Wednesday Mass
Qw were led by Father Miguel and Richard. Year Six shared readings and prayers and took part in communion too. A beautiful mass- as always outstanding behaviour from all children.
We have loved taking part in the Jobs for Everyone scheme.
We have meet lots of different people who work for the NHS and we hope in the process we have shown the children lots of jobs that are available when they grown up. The pupils have asked interesting questions and learned lots too. [gallery type="rectangular"...
Our Reception parent/carer valentines craft afternoon was a great success.
