This group of children are such role models for our wonderful school.
They represented school so beautifully in a mass at St Mary’s church today playing an active role in proceedings with members of the pubic present. We are very proud.

They asked us today, ‘Is fashion important?’ They allowed for opportunities to reflect and led us in prayer. Our Year Six pupils will be working with the Year Five pupils next week to support them in taking on further roles in collective worship.
They led us in prayer beautifully and gave us the opportunity to reflect. They spoke meaningfully about the topic and asked ‘Will self-driving vehicles Change our lives?’.
Today, Year Six members of our Collective Worship Council delivered their first Collective Worship to the whole school. They looked at the question: Is an e-reader better than a book? We were very proud of their confidence of delivery and how they engaged the younger pupils. They also shared beautiful prayers at the end too.
The tree was organised and decorated by the Worship Council as part of Barnsley’s Bright Nights Festival. So many of the pupils went to see our tree. We are also delighted to announce that we won our tree in the silent auction too! #wonderfulcommunity

Collective Worship Council designed some wonderful tree decorations that will be used to decorate a special St Mary’s Primary Christmas tree that will take centre stage at St Mary’s church as part of the Bright Nights festival.
We can’t wait to decorate it.
